Are you looking for licensed family child care providers in Scott County? Now you can do a search by entering your own address to look for providers near you or by entering "city and state", or by entering "street name with city and state" in the "Search Bar" to find all the providers and in the area you are looking for possible child care providers.
MN DHS - Licensing Lookup Tool
If you are looking for family childcare, look under “Family Child Care” for a complete list of licensed providers in your city under "License Type." The website also provides information on the licensed program if open or closed, any negative licensing action on the program, if provider is operating under conditional license, or license has been denied.
If you looking for information regarding child care centers, select "Child Care Centers" under "License Type" or call the State of Minnesota at 651-431-6500. Child Care Centers located within Scott County are licensed directly by the State of Minnesota.

Scott County Licensed Family Child Care Association
Scott County Licensed Family Child Care Association (SCLFCCA) offers a publicly accessible website for their members to post information about their family child care and vacancies. Additionally, parents may use this web site to search for child care with providers who choose to be members with the association. SCLFCCA urges parents to interview a provider, visit the provider’s home and to check the provider's references before leaving a child in a provider's care.
Think Small is a resource and referral network that helps families locate child care in Carver, Dakota, Hennepin and Scott Counties. "Think Small" promotes a variety of services and provides resources to child care professionals and advocacy for early childhood education in Minnesota.
