Effective June 14, 2021 Scott County offices are open to the public. The Career Lab will be open weekdays from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. No appointments are necessary to use the Career Lab. Scott County Employment and Training is a division of Health and Human Services Department and a Dakota/Scott CareerForce partner.Are you unemployed or underemployed? The Dislocated Worker Program offers free services to help eligible individuals that are 18 year of age and older find suitable reemployment. The Adult Program provides employment and training services to eligible adults 18 years of age and older.
The Diversionary Work Program (DWP ES) is a short-term (up to 4 months) work-focused program which requires immediate participation with employment services.
Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP ES) is Minnesota's welfare reform program for families with children.
The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides part-time community service jobs for people 55 years of age or older who meet income guidelines.
The purpose of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP E & T) is to help Food Support recipients find employment.

Public Comment open on the 2022-2023 Scott County Draft MFIP Biennial Service Agreement (BSA).
The draft 2022-2023 MFIP Biennial Service Agreement has been posted for public comment through Friday, October 15, 2021. The purpose of the agreement is to provide the State Department of Human Services with information about services and strategies intended to meet program measures with the goal of increasing economic stability of low income families served with consolidated funds.
