Friends of the Library

Each Scott County Library has Friends of the Library group that supports their library through fundraising and advocacy. Funds raised are often used to support unique collection items and programs. Some past projects that Friends have helped fund include author visits, programs, library artwork, and the Smart Play Spot at the Shakopee Library. Our Friends' Book Sales (which can be viewed below) are popular and open the the public. 

There is a nominal membership fee to join some Friends groups. If you are interested in becoming a member, please call the branch manager at the library you wish to support.
